All about menstruation (Menorrhea)

 1. Foods to be avoided during menstrual period.

This is very important, as lack of this information, there are lot of complications such as PCODs etc.,

  • Dairy products such as milk, curd, ice-creams should be completely avoided because dairy product contains arachidonic acid, an omega-6-unsaturated fatty acid, which is good for health but during mensural periods, it increases the prostaglandin production which causes menstrual cramps.
  • Cucumber - During periods the body should be warm and the hormonal changes brings about complete blood discharge. But cucumber cools our body, which affects the process. 
  • Fresh Coconut 
  • Foods rich in carbohydrates

2. One should not take head bath for the first 3-5 of the menstrual period.
