Everyday morning, the chirping sounds of the small birds is highly enchanting. Sparrows are in large number, few robins, kingfisher with dazzling yellow or red color or multicolored, rock pigeon, yellow bellied warbler. My husband feeds them with rice, rice dalia, Wheat dhaliya, millets while they really enjoy eating cooked rice and chapati.
Once I kept separately a handful of insect-infested dal and good quality dal on the compound wall. Not a single sparrow went near the insect-infested dal. But the pigeon that went near the damaged dal did not eat it first, it moved towards the good ones and ate it completely after some time of thinking it started eating the infested ones also.
